Acer launch new Android smart-phones and tablets

Acer have launched three new devices: Acer Iconia Smart, Acer Iconia A100 and the Acer Iconia Tab A500. The first is has a 4.8 inch widescreen and combines the capabilities of a tablet in a smartphone format, the second is a 7” tablet Android based tablet and the third is 10.1-inch tablet.

The Acer Iconia Smart has an 8MP camera, complete with LED Flash. It’s equipped with the latest release of the Google operating system, Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

 

The Acer Iconia Tab A100 will be powered the dual-core NVIDIA® Tegra™ 2, the first mobile dual core CPU and comes with multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth® 2.1.

 

Like the A100, the A500 also uses the Tegra 2 and has a 5MP rear-facing camera plus HD front-facing camera.

 

There is no news on pricing for any of these devices, but the press releases say that the A500 will be available in April.
