Add Interesting Video Effect in Media Player Classic

Media Player ClassicMedia Player Classic Video Effect. With pixel shader, we can add interesting effects to video, like grayscale, nightvision, emboss, and so on. We can also combine several shaders to produce new effects.

Before activating pixel shader, make sure your graphic card already supported Pixel Shader 2.0 feature to above. The way is easy, indeed. If you can run aero feature which is in Windows Vista or Windows 7, it means your graphic card supports it.

If you have run it, follow these steps :

  1. Run Media Center. Click menu of “ View  >  Options…”.
  2. Choose menu of Playback/Output. Choose “VMR9 renderless”.
  3. On Surface, choose “3D surfaces”, then click “OK”.
  4. Open one of the video you have.
  5. Click menu of “ View  >  Shader Editor”, then choose the effect you want.
