HP offers 8540w the same 2.66GHz Intel Core i7-620M dual core as in 8440p. Turbo Mode makes it possible to run with the speed of 3.33GHz. If 8440p uses Intel graphics, 8540w uses dicrete nVidia processor. GPU nVidia Quadro FX 1800M is not graphic chip consumer, but optimized for workstation.
nVidia GeForce series presents action game in high speed, while Quadro line-up is designed for design computer focusing on precision acceleration of GPU.
