"The Buffalo" PCLinuxOS 2010) works out of the box with this machine in a brilliant way. This is not a Dell or other machine but was built for a sys developer. That's why the sound doesn't work and the ATI card was sent to legacy and Ubuntu can't get their hands on since ATI refused to open the card for Linux. 10.10 is hopeless. The live cd only provides regular flickering. It's not Linux fault (here Ubuntu). It's the hardware manufacturer. The entire OS of 10.04 is open source. Not one propretiary driver on board. We gonna try this suggestion here from the board. We wrote down all sound and graphics modules activated in the buffalo. When it doesn't work in Ubuntu now I myself will install the Buffalo from TX. We love the sentence " works out of the box for most hardware". Keep it up in Linux. A round of applause for you. Everybody can. Much to the panic in Seattle. The fear of cloud computing catapulted the shoe bender in Seattle (Gates)to early retirement. Hah!
